Saturday, March 3rd, 2029: Spring training kicked off today with the arrival of pitchers and catchers. In the coming days, superstars and prospects alike will take the field, put on exhibition games and showcase their organization to a collection of fans, office personnel and media.
Some players will arrive late, causing a stir, while others will work double time to make the Opening Day roster. Some will be sidelined, sending the medical staff into action. One thing is for certain, there will be a lot of nail-biting before Opening Day arrives. |

Monday, February 26th, 2029: 33-year-old first baseman Joseph Berglund has inked a deal with Arizona. Many baseball people question whether he is really worth $1,040,000 over 1 year.
However, the team thinks that Berglund will be a solid contributor this season.
Checking out his career figures, Berglund has played in 1127 games with a .298 batting average. Among his 1171 hits are 200 home runs. He also has scored 665 runs, stolen 2 bases and driven in 632 runs. |

Saturday, February 24th, 2029: Boston fans celebrated as word of a signing became reality. António Tapia won't be pulling up stakes anytime soon, as he has signed a 5-year extension at a pay rate of $13,500,000 per annum.
Since he is widely seen as an integral part of the club, Boston officials had to keep Tapia from jumping ship.
His career numbers show Tapia is hitting .328 with a total of 134 home runs. |
